Here’s what you need to know before you book IELTS Indicator

IELTS Indicator is a test of Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking which you can complete at home with results available within seven days.

Available for a limited time, the test helps you progress your university or educational institution applications while IELTS testing is limited or suspended in certain locations due to COVID-19.

Universities and educational institutions can use IELTS Indicator to help gauge the English language abilities of future students.

The IELTS Indicator Academic test occurs once a week. 

 

Before you book – complete the IELTS Indicator checklist

Do you have the following?

A quiet and comfortable space to take your test

A laptop or desktop computer (Mac or PC only; you cannot take IELTS Indicator on a mobile or tablet device)

A stable internet connection

A working microphone and web camera so you can complete your Speaking test

Speakers or headphones connected to your computer (for audio during your Listening and Speaking test)

Availability for the full duration of the Listening, Reading and Writing test – approximately 2 hours 45 minutes. These sections of the test need to be completed in one sitting; you cannot pause and come back later. Your Speaking test will be conducted separately.
